Meeting emotional, social, cognitive and physical needs through rhythm and melody

Music therapy is an evidence-based psychological clinical intervention that uses music to support clients’ emotional, cognitive, physical and social needs. 

Music offers a powerful way to communicate and connect, especially where words may not be possible or available. 

All music therapists in the UK must be registered with the HCPC (Health and Care Professions Council) and are recognised as allied healthcare professionals.

You do not need to have musical experience or skills to receive music therapy...

Therapy for adults & children

Adults and children of all ages may benefit from music therapy. Holly works with a range of clients across west Wales in Pembrokeshire and areas of Carmarthenshire and Ceredigion. Sessions may include activities such as listening to music, playing instruments, songwriting, and creating playlists, with interventions designed to meet your specific therapeutic needs.

 

Music and wellbeing courses

Advice and training is available on a range of subjects related to the use of music for health and wellbeing.

Sessions are available for individuals or groups with content adapted to suit the needs of those attending.

Other music services...

Holly offers a range of music tuition and performance coaching services including specialist advice for people who may have additional cognitive, emotional or physical needs.

In addition, Holly co-facilitates folk music and dance related workshops, offers fiddle lessons and plays solo, in a duo and bands, for twmpath/ceilidh dances,  live music for events and special occasions.
